Manchun Lee, Ph.D.
2024 AYS Fellow - Maths&CS
Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Research Area: Geometric analysis, Riemannian geometry, Complex geometry, Partial differential equation
Award Citation: The AYSF Committee acknowledges his contribution to geometric analysis and complex geometry, and would like to support his advancing our understanding of various geometric structures as well as developing further analysis in geometry.
Bio: Man-Chun Lee is an Assistant Professor at the Chinese Univeristy of Hong Kong (CUHK). He received his PhD in mathematics from CUHK in 2018. In 2019-2021, he worked as a Boas Assistant Professor in Northwestern University and research fellow in Warwick University. He came back to Hong Kong and joined to CUHK in 2021. His research interests center around the geometric flows and geometric partial differential equation arising in complex geometry and Riemannian geometry. He has made important contribution in geometric flows in non-compact manifolds. In recognition of his contribution in geometric analysis, he received the NSFC Excellent Young Scientist Fund (Hong Kong and Macau) in 2022.
